Probably switch positions. All about driver usability.

Sorry, wrong, it can mean either LMP1 or GTE. What do you think people like Patrick Long, Nick Tandy, Patrick Pilet and other Porsche factory drivers that won't drive the LMP1 car will do?

Aye, I'd say that's more than likely to bolster the GT ranks too, especially if they're losing Timo, Romain and Marc Lieb and potentially competing in TUSC and WEC. If those three programmes all come to fruition then they'll need a minimum of 14 drivers to run on the PLM/Fuji weekend next year, and that's not counting on Henzler being at Falken (my money's on Ragginger for their third seat).

So if we take the ten from this year and add in Hartley, Webber, Jani and Christensen, that makes...... 14 (maybe Colin Braun for one more )!

Even if that's the fourteen, it would present some interesting choices for next year. Anyone fancy seeing Brendon Hartley in a GT car?

Haven't heard yet. They aren't making any more new 997 GT3-R's so I'd bet it'll be soon.

Was Bahrain the first time Manu Collard had raced a Ferrari? I've always seen him as a Porsche guy so to see him in AF Corse colors was a tad odd.

Certainly not as Manu was one of the winners of the inaugural Petit Le Mans in the Doyle Risi 333SP back in 1998!

First time in a GT Ferrari? Possibly...

A 991 RSR asks around 800 000 eurosThat's impressive...Even Imsa Matmut couldn't afford it so far, not to mention ProSpeed and ProGT Almeras. Proton's brilliant at this point, plan to order a pair of them.

I meant GT wise as Manu has raced a number of different protos but when it comes to GTs I've seen him as mainly a Porsche driver. It'd be like seeing Mika Salo wearing Felbermayer colors

Looks like another news rehash but then again it's always nice to read about other manufacturers and the possibility of them joining.

Here's my guess on 991 RSR's line up

#91 Pilet--Tandy
#92 Mako--Lietz
#77 Ragginger--Felbermayr Jr--Felbermayr Sr
#88 Ruberti--Roda(or Ried, Bachler)--Potolicchio(could be anyone ranked as Bronze, Konopka, Paul Daniels etc)

#911 Long--Christensen
#912 Holzer--Bergmeister
#17 Henzler--Sellers

And Core wouldn't be at LeMans AFAIK, their second TUSC entry should bears #991 IMO

Potolicchio will be driving his 8Star PC in USCC, so the at the minimum won't be a permanent driver in the #88

I think that Bergmeister and Long will share the same car in TUSC, as they did for a long time with flying lizards. Two drivers among Pilet, Lietz, Tandy and Lieb will be third drivers at daytona and sebring. At the end Bergmeister could be the third driver of a manthey 991 at le mans. Great move to hire Makowiecki. Strangely after good performances driving a 458 GTE, Ferrari never took him into consideration for an AF Corse official seat.
IMHO Mako > Beretta + Bertolini + Malucelli
