Winter Series / Racing
Hi
Is anyone aware of clubs that run races Oct to April? Due to work commitments I find it hard to get out racing in the summer months, and miss heaps of races! I've found the following races later in the year
Do you know of anything else? I drive a 2dr Impreza if that makes any odds to the series' suggested. I dont mind racing in the wet |

I believe there is an ' open closed car' race at the Walter Hays Trophy meeting, contact the HSBC for full details.

BRDC F4 Winter Series:
Snetterton 8th/9th November Brands Hatch 22/23rd November I also imagine the rally guys will be out for the Brands Hatch Stages sometime in January - always fun watching them race the wrong way down the pit lane. |

There are usually some kind of open saloon races at the F4 winter series and the Brands round includes the Victor Meldrew trophy, if your car meets the Toyo road saloons regs you could enter that.

4x4 looks to be an issue for the Toyo Saloons

The BRSCC QMN race at Brands on the 1 / 2 November is looking the most likely after the final SMRC Sports & Saloons race in October.
Arrowpak Saloons - Are the grids any better now? Anyone on here race in that series? |

Ref Arrowpak Saloons - Andy Robinson is a member on here somewhere, can't remember his forum name though
Website is here http://www.eurosaloons.co.uk/ and the last time I saw them (Snetterton I think) they had fewer entrants than British Formula 3! |

We raced (SMRC) with them at Oulton thi syear and they had a very low grid (something like 5 cars)
Whats the Castle Combe Sports & GT like? I'm not eligible for the Saloons. |

The QMN grids are always over subscribed and preference goes to those that have competed in the most rounds in the year, you may be lucky for the Lydden round though as they run separate races for the two championships that usually fill the grids.

As Copper said the last two QMN rounds are always very busy, so best get an entry in soon! Lydden would be fine though, its a less popular circuit it seems (sadly)
Alternatively is your car eligible for something like the Britcar race at Brands in November? They do some sprint (ish) races too now, 30 min I think duration.... |

Same at Anglesey - five entries according to the programme, only four actually raced. It's sad to see what used to be a really good championship effectively dead.

From memory class A has a power limit, but its fairly high. And a minimum weight. But the regs are pretty open I think, be good to see another car out.
And a good thing with QMN is big grids and even if you aren't at the front you can have a good battle with a car from another class Simon |

My cars isnt crazy spec when compared to some of its type
1220kg with me in it ~400bhp at the wheels 2014 QMN REGS: http://www.barcsoutheast.co.uk/regul...egulations.pdf I'd be looking at class A with Rod Birley, Dale Gent etc... as you stated Never raced at Brands but expect a lap time of 53 so wont be troubling them for the lead I think LOL Weights: 2.0 with turbo and 4x4 (need to check exact cc) Quote:

do you have to run a restrictor even when your turbo is 58mm at the inlet, and inlet pipe goes down to about ~55mm where it goes under the inlet manifold?
