Dan Rear should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I think he was known as 'Baillie Joe Russell' for some reason! He was quite often entered at Mallory, rarely showed up though! This may have been the only time.

Hello Gentlemen, I have just stumbled upon this forum and reading it eagerly.
I may be a few weeks behind but maybe I can shed some light on the ex-Wiggins Teape Camaro.
I drove this car in 1975 in the Tricentrol & Forward Trust Super Saloon series.
It was bought by Geoff Nicklin fro Martin Thomas in February 1975 and he sold it at the end of that season. It was CAB 24H
I have recently received a scrap book kept by Geoff's daughter of all the press cutting for the period.
Many a happy scrap was had in that car!!!
If anyone wants more information, send me an e-mail.

To Pete Stenning 2nd generation Z28 was not sold to Gerry Marshall it was prepared and sold by us to Alan Foster at London Sports car centre. You are incorrect in regard to Mathwell engine . Also incorrect in regard to Ovaltine camaro having illegal ducts to cool diff this was on ex Jackie Oliver mustang that I had and raced. Bonnet pins were also allowed in G2

Wiggens Teape car was taken by me in part exchange from Terry Sanger for Group 1 second generation camaro we prepared and he used. I did use this car and smashed it badly at Snetterton .
I also did sell a 1967 camaro to Jeff Nicklen.

Good to see you on here Martin; I hope Gerry doesn't know you're enjoying yourself too much!!

I've compiled a list of Dad's races/results and I have Dad down as driving the Camaro twice in March 74 (Mallory and Brands, both entered by the London Sports Car Centre/Alan Foster) and both times retiring due to engine problems - I don't know the specifics but it ties in with what you said.

Hi Martin.. long time no "speak".. just realised its getting on for some 10 months since I last logged onto 10-10ths so apologies for not noticing your earlier posting!
Thanks for the info.. I recall you mentioning before that my car was an ex-celebrity car, but had forgotten that you had driven it in club events.. i assume that was in 67-68 (?) but can you tell me the colour scheme and also whether it had a cage fitted in those races? (ie before G2?)
I didn't realise (if I read you correctly) that you had then then converted it to a G2 car .. that being the case, can you tell me under which one of your Group2 cars it became?..

Hi

Don't know if this thread is still active.

I worked on the car and sprayed it in the Ovaltine colours.
