Still think Ambrose will be the one to beat this year . Although he will not be quite as dominant as last year . Bright looks like he will be more competitive as well . One of the more interesting comments came Garth Tander .They used just one set of tyres for all 3 races . Considering where they finished , that is very impressive .

Even though Bright won at the GP last year, this year his speed was far more impressive and he was gapping the field.
Impressed with the speed of the Valvoline cars. Having two drivers who give good feedback will help. Steven Richards speed must also be encouraging for that team. I'm not quite ready to completely stick the boots into 888 and FPR like GTR has but another couple of meetings like that and I may be left with no choice. |

V8's are not different to any other sports... Sometimes you get "good" games & other times you get "boring" games... Yes Saturdays race was boring, but Fridays & Sundays race where pretty exciting!!!

stmorri suggests that the other Holden teams have used HRTs data? I can assure him that HRT exist only to look after themselves. PWR won at the AGP and will continue to do well this year because they went their own way on set up.

If you write off FPR's and 888's chances after a couple of bad races at Albert Park then IMO you are quite the fool...........
There are an allarming amount of Holden teams with quick motor cars though. I really didn't think that GRM and CPR would have that kind of pace.. |

I remember Bright winning at the AGP this time last year. Didn't really help him win too many other races throughout the year...

So, do we think the AGP should be for championship points?
Would give it more meaning. The races would need to be longer though, and Bernie mightn't go for that. Last edited by Mattracer; 9 Mar 2004 at 10:49. |

Firstly it won't happen.
Secondly there would be too many obstacles to overcome. Like Program timing, car numbers and TC wouldn't want it as second most important class on program. Besides that this should be just left as a hitout before the series starts. |

It could happen. There was noise, however faint, at the AGP meeting that they may hold a single 250km race on the Saturday next year.

Well, with the rumour that F1 qual from this season to be gone as of Malaysia in two weeks, then the F1 warm up, the celeb race, driver parade, hoopla etc should keep Sunday morning next year full enough.
