A thankyou to Thruxton marshals today

Hi all, I'm not a regular on this forum so forgive me if this is posted in the wrong place.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to ALL the Thruxton marshals for their efforts and untold enthusiasm over this rather warm and splendid weekend of racing. There were lots of incidents and clear up operations over the weekend but despite this the delays to the program were minimal thanks to you all.

In particular I would like to extend massive thanks to the Marshals who were based at the entry to Allard for coming to my rescue and extinguishing the fire quickly from my engine explosion. Thanks to you guys and girls I am now "only" looking at a fresh engine build rather than a burnt out wreck!!
Not only were you "on the ball" but you were also a proper nice friendly bunch

Thanks to the lovely (very sunburnt) lady marshal for sending her young nephews over for autographs to make a sad racing driver happy... it certainly cheered me up chatting to them

Anyway, thanks again for making my first visit to Thruxton (as a driver) a very pleasant experiance indeed....even if the place did scare me silly every lap!

I,m just a trainee so I could not help you.

But I thought the experienced guys our on Post (2) did a really good quick job extinguising the oil fire in your car and mointoring it in case the fire started again.

The rest of our Team made sure they were safe with our I.O. ensuring we all did the right thing.
