HoTWire should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Andy Padgett (??) Bentley Special info?

Hello folks.

I was watching an old Brighton Speed Trials video last night, and was reminded of an awesome Bentley Special, from what I could hear in the commentry it was owned/built by Andy Padgett. It was blue. It made a great noise and went very fast.

Any pictures of it or info about it now?

I had a quick search and couldn't find anything, I may be spelling the name wrong?

David,

I'm failry sure the owner/driver was Alan, not Andy Padgett.

But whether that yield any info. is another matter.

I remeber seeing the car, I think it used some Mk. VI mechanicals, but I must admit can't remember too much more. Autosport used to carry the occasional phot of it in the early-mid 70s

Fingers crossed I can find a picture of the car now...

There is a guy that comes into my shop now and then owns a Blue Mulsanne Turbo that has been tuned to produce an estimated 600bhp I think he was telling me, flowed heads, modified cam and turbo etc. he has done shed loads of cash on it. Takes all sorts I guess and whatever rocks yer boat, good fun at the traffic lights Gran Prix though as it looks bog standard!
