David Land has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Racing gods are mad the WEC was not at Petit.

Enough already.wec doesn't need petit and petit does not need wec! I have enjoyed petit without wec/ilmc and I have enjoyed wec without petit and hopefully will enjoy it more with Porsche.so what were the racing gods mad at in 2009 when this happened to petit with Audi and Peugeot there?it just happens every couple years to different series.

Oh well.
Maybe I will be able to get to Shanghai for the next round.

Weather today in Tokyo is much better.
Good to hear you can look somewhat positively at it.
Was the Autograph session afterwards ok?

Have to admit that in my head I always think of Fuji and rain. In reality that's only because of the Grand Prix in '76 and '07. Weather can take out a race anywhere in the world on any given day and I think the teams know that.

Just sad for the fans.
And and the competitors!
However the sensible cancellation of this event has made me realise how totally irresponsible F1 was back in 2007, for releasing their cars to race after 19 laps behind the Safety Car in those same conditions! That was a cynical case of Drivers being used as mere "Pawns in a Game for TV" quite disgracefull in hindsight!

What about making it a saturday race next year, on purpose leaving sunday as the spare day? Are the cargos moving on sunday anyway?

I was really looking forward this and was initially (selfishly) quite please it was delayed as i was finishing off watching the IndyCar race.

However, i soon figured that the rain wasn't going anywhere fast and drifted off, waking every 45mins or so, opening an eye and seeing the red-flag logo and going back to sleep.

Damn shame, could Toyota have taken it to Audi?

Good idea, teams will not spend extra money for a free day if saturday weather does not let to run the race.
