I personally think this to be one of the better European series and thoroughly recommend it for those with the time to do it.

I am thinking of preparing a racecar to join the series, but it will take a while for me to actually be ready to race. What kind of horsepower do you need to keep up with de middle of the 1600cc class in the historics? I think I'll be able to get between 100 and 150HP out of the engine.

I'm thinking of racing a 1969 volkswagen karmann ghia according to appendix K regulations, not a common sight at a racetrack, but very affordable. It has a 1500cc or 1600cc boxer engine and independant rear suspension. At the moment I'm figuring out if I can make it work to prepare it and make it a little bit competitive within my budget.

Thanks, but I'm a regular visitor to the bravo website and I'm from Belgium, so Dutch isn't a problem. Hope to meet you on the racetrack someday.

greetings

Interesting, it does seem to cater for Period G which is unusual. Also an eclectic selection of tyres are permitted. Keep us up to date on this please.

there are three classes of cars, but they all run together. The grids have 40+ cars most of the time.

Class 1: close to App K
Class 2: not appendix K, but close to period mods
Class 3: youngtimers

All classes can run on Semi-slicks or the Dunlop vintages, but I can't see why anyone would run them in a field of semi-slicks, can't be competitive when you're the only one on the vintage tires.

It is only permittet to drive with tyres that have a "DOT" or "E" mark on it.
The soft tyres like Yokohama are permittet. If you want to drive on sliks ,you can not drive for points in the championship.
