Targa Tasmania 2009

Its on now... actually this afternoon...

Entry List Here

Will this be Mr Richards' finest hour, or will the all singing, all dancing GT-R's blow off his works assisted Porsche?

Nissan GT-R Wins!!

Some mega accidents in the event, Mr Richards smashed the radiator in his Porsche, Mr Weeks hit a tree at high speed and destroyed the Lamborghini.... nothing in the regular press about the event.

Good to see a Nissan win

For any driver doing the Targa Tasmania is a must. I have a long list of events to do and the Targa is one of them.

I saw some coverage on the news the other night (can't remember which channel). Of course it was only an accident getting coverage where a car crossed up entering a temporary chicane and slid off into a tree. The car radio certainly was interesting. Missed the presenters voice over to hear if there was anything more being said about the event.

There are some great incar videos on YouTube of drivers in the event.

I would link them but the expletives from the drivers are not family friendly

Bit late as I've only just spotted this but you were told wrong Red Tape.

One member of the RC team at Winton was down in Tasmania as a AASA Steward and the rest of the team was present for the V8's at the weekend.

A change in sanctioning body doesn't mean an event has to have a clean out of it's senior officials team.

The event is well covered on Youtube, broken down into 8 seperate videos here: http://www.youtube.com/user/crYnOidAu

Well done to Tony Quinn, a much deserved win to a bloke who obviously loves his tarmac events!

Yep, certainly was. Being BAC President he kinda sorta had to be at the biggest event held at Winton this year.
