TKR In 2009

AA/MeN have TKR running a PMM-prepared VE for 2009.

Is this the car they shall run, or is there another option?

Who will sponsor the team in 2009 beyond the existing band of supporters, to being them to the next level of competitiveness?

Sorry to be so annoying but Yayyyy TKR are pushing for 28th spot on the grid and not 29th, if they can achieve that, well, the sky is the limit!!!

With Team New Zealand, I think if they would join forces with SuperCheap Auto Racing, they would get a 2008 car (Most likely Ingall's) with a bunch of data. This would force TKR and SCAR to be grouped into a threee car team with a postive effect for TKR again.

All pure speculation, but it's not hard to follow the trail back to who started the rumours.

As for who owns the car, the car is owned by Team Kiwi Racing Ltd, no one else owns the car.

How long have they owned it mike??

I understood it was owned by Kayne or his family at the time he was competing in it??

They (TKR) owned it from the day they where invoiced it from 888. There has been no sale between 888 and Kayne or even TKR and Kayne.

Basic contract law gentlemen, there has been no contract to sell a car to Kayne, his family or any of their companies.

End of Contract Law 101

i would have thought basic contract law would be TKR owned it once they paid the invoice, rather than the invoice was delivered...

small difference that can lead to a big difference...

No depends on the terms. Still basic contract law.

But in this case it was paid.

Michael, for the life of me, I do not know what motivates you to carry on with this charade. You and I know who paid for the 888 car and it was not TKR nor was it David John.

You also know that the Scott's still have a pecuniary interest in the 888 car, that only ceases when the obligations have been met.

****! I better tell the finance companies when they lend money on a car that they actually own it!!

Mark, I would of thought you would have the intelligence to understand law. Who's books does the car appear in????? Who is the legal and registered owner of the car?????

You might want to be careful how you say things because as a point of law the car is owned by Team Kiwi Racing Limited.

I unlike yourself ensure that I am correct when I make a statement, I stated that TKR owned the car, which they do, what you are stating is completely different.

But then you have been known to bend the truth to suit your own purposes

I dont know what arrangements were made or anything else and I dont know anything about Kayne Scott or TKR's different dealings, but on a point of law i need to make the following points:

For all intents and purpose a finance company DOES own the car it lends for. This come in the form of a caveat they hold, ie: i cannot sell my car without the express written permission of my finance company, and if my car is written off in a crash, the insurance cheque will go to the finance company (who will reimburse me any difference between the insured amount and the loan amount outstanding).

So even though someone has a registration etc in thier name, that does not indicate complete financial ownership of the vehicle.

For the record I'm sure that all is being done to ensure the proper and correct operations of TKR and that industry bodies would intervene were anything untoward to occur. I'm just correcting a point of law.
