Round 8 - WSBK 2011, Brno

Friday practice and qualifying are done and dusted at Brno. Checa and Smrz are on top followed by Mlandri, Laverty and Biaggi. This has historically been a Biaggi track, so I expect he'll be there or there abouts come race day.

Broc Parkes has looked strong so far in supersport. Interestingly, the Yamaha riders are struggling a bit.

The racing was a little spaced out, don't you think? Race 1 was ok, it was more a high speed game of chess than anything else in my opinion. Race two obviously had the leaders passing and re-passing which was pretty good. I suspect a heck of a lot more racing was going on in the pack but that was barely covered. The top three were off in the distance in both races.

I was delighted to see Gino Rea's maiden win though. I was beginning to doubt the team given the problems they've had this year but I was wrong. I thought Yamaha were going to run away with it in Supersport given Scassa's form at the beginning of the year but they seem to have lost a little bit of their edge, that's good for the racing of course.

I am bored with Checa, Biaggi & Melandri - get Honda, Suzuki & Kwaka up there!

If I was Australian I woiuld be going on about Gino Rea, but I am British so I am not!

I agree with Gom though, the dominaiton of some teams is getting tiresome, as it is in GP where the racing is secondary to the press conferences at the moment!

I really dont mind, but can deal without the hateful rubbish.

Parkes keeps losing the front and to be fair Chaz deserves a break after years of rubbish
