Surprising Richo's average qually position is P7 not too far off Winterbottom, so Richo must be quicker then he seems.

I see what they have tried to do... same blue colour, with sponsor's colours on front and sides of each car.

Really the liveries are OK, the colours are mainly nice, design is nice.

Would be better with white not silver on the Orrcon car, and with white instead of gold on the Castrol car. Why is it gold!!! Not a corporate colour of any sponsors, blue and green look ok on the same car otherwise.

I assume Richo is running laps in a re-livered FG falcon promotional/homologation chassis. The choice of the blue colour appears to have been decided on the basis of not needing to send said car to the paintshop, fair enough as it is a nice shade of blue which has appeared in the Falcon range but not on any of the race cars... a good choice to promote and it's a smart looking colour.

Since Glenn Seton's Ford Tickford Racing was instructed to race a Ford blue livery just like FPR then it's nothing new, same as the 2000 Holden Racing Team design copying the manufacturer's colour idea from the Seton team.

I like the livery design.
I think Frostys looks great, but Richos was never going to look good trying to incorporate blue, red and green. They just cant get it right.

How come Richo's car never looks any good when the Ford WRC car with the Castrol sponsorship looks great.

Have you seen a more recent Ford rally livery? Worse than Richo's car and worse than any united colours of Benetton.

Sorry on the less clear pictures, the red on the Castrol car looked gold to me, my mistake.

Um where is the gold on the Castrol car?? It's blue, green, red and white. There's no gold on it.
Yes I agree, not the greatest combo in history, but Castrol are hardly going to change their colours are they??

Actually the blue has been used on race cars - successful race cars: It's Pirtek blue - so all you Ambrose fans should be happy.

He posted just afterwards saying he didn't realise there was no gold on the pics. he could only see the blurred image of it

And for the record, the EDGE is gold

I think the Castrol car looks great, better than the Orrcon car.

I agree that using white instead of silver would have improved the Orrcon car, but the use of a lighter colour would make the car look too much different from the overall darker looking Castrol car.

It is a hard task making two cars with different sponsors look similar.

Yeah they wont win with richo doing the last stint. If they put Winterbottom in the 6 for the enduros then yes you can write FPR off for PI and Mount Panorama.

Those Britek cars were also designed by Ninnyman.

The 04-05-06 FPR cars were very good and aggresively styled - not so many sponsors though .

I think this current livery is lacking connection to previous FPR liveries. I think would look better if the design was a little more aggressive and tied in the eagle theme over more of the car, and thereby linked to previous FPR liveries. HRT are on the money in this way, with their similar styling.

For me, #5 looks good.
#6 looks alright as well. The only thing I don't like is the red border line around the falcon on the rear quarter panel of #6.

prefered the sky blue, it would of been abit nicer on the eye IMO and made the green and red look better. gotta go with the team and sponsers though.

For a works team this has a correlation to merchandise sales, fan support from the critical under 10 fans that can be converted to consumers of team merchandise, sales of flags, sales of Classic cars models etc surely?

It's the only outward expression of the image of the team.

Anyhow, the likelihood of a retro XY GT inspired livery based on the works XY colours, instead of the silver and blue Larkham Orrcon job seems unlikely.
