Flyingduck - nothing up anywhere apart fron Toyota Racing Series. At least these guys are on the ball. NZV8 could take a leaf from their book maybe

http://www.toyotaracing.co.nz/Default.aspx?pageid=498

I know they are in the wrong thread, just showing how one series in the traveling road show knows how the entertain the web based viewer. Good for you Toyota

peckstar has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
why is Hamilton not the decider (from memory it was in the past, open to correction) ?

I believe that Hamilton isnt the decider due to TV....
TV One have the right to all the NZ Championship classes and it is in the series articles that all rounds will have TV coverage. But as TV3 now have the right to V8 Supercars, its all turned pear shaped, hence why the Hamilton event will be a 'trophy" race for the NZ classes.

Welcome to Ten Tenths CDM. Thanks for your input thats also the way I read it to. I think this weekend for the NZV8's will be a cracker. With no points at stake who cares if they tweak their machines a little outside the rules (wash my mouth out to even suggest such a thing).

Ford00 - not sure, have they broadcast any of the other races?? You could always go ask them. I have to say there is some good racing, ohh we also have a couple od Aussies in the field if that helps sell it to 7. FWIIW we show V8 development series and the past we have seen Aussie ute races and Aussie racing

Where does that put the championship? I thought Johnny Mac had it in the bag, but does his DNF ruin the numberS?

Tough Start for JMR at Invercargill

We set the 4
th fastest time in qualifying behind Scott, Booth and Fogg. I n the first race we have suffered an engine failure recording our first ever DNF in the V8’s. Scott won the race from Booth and Fogg.
We will start 27
th in the 18 lap race tomorrow with our new engine in place. The team are very positive and we look forward to taking the title in the final race on Sunday.
We now lead by 55, from Fogg and Scott 97 points behind.
Regards
John and the Team

Aparrently we have had our third tumble for the weekend, Hussif , Fogg and now Brook in R1. Fogg's crew must have been working overtime Friday night to get him back out to take 2nd place in R1.

Anyone down there got pics

Race 2 results are up http://www.mylaps.com/results/newResults.jsp?id=740403 - it is all on for Race 3. I guess JM has the advantage with starting further up the field for the reverse grid, but anything can happen.

My rough points workup has Johnny Mac on 925, Angus on 917 and Kayne on 883!

JMR Back to Back Champions!
We have done it, winning the last race of the season to win our second championship in a row. After a tense weekend having the timing chain brake on the engine we ran conservatively in race 2 this morning with our new engine to pick up 15th.
Starting 7th in the reverse grid we were in the lead by lap 4 and never headed.
More to come in the next weeks.
Thanks for all of your emails of support.
Regards
John and the team

Well done to Mr McIntyre... hopefully he can take this result to his army of backers and lever himself into a development series gig on this side of the pond
