Under the new rules Arena and Halfords are Constructors as they build their own cars. A more logical solution would be a marques championship, but that one probably wouldn't have been popular.

I'd definitely agree that it is a mock-up, the shot doesn't even appear in the photo gallery on Dave's site.

Plato officially IN - driving a private RML Lacetti! What fantastic news!
I had a feeling something would come about - love him or hate him, Plato is too important to the BTCC to not be there. The on-track controversy he creates helps make the series as great as it is.
I was looking forward to Brands enough as it was...

I always thought it was a bit risky announcing new drivers and teams on April 1st myself.....

If we arent all being fooled here another question for you Andy, what you gonna do about the graphic for ITV seeing as the livery wont be revealed til Saturday?

assuming it is true .... same as Adam Jone's Leon livery at round 1 last year. Images are sent to me on Saturday and I do it then.

I have my doubts, would love to see him back, but seems a very silly day to announce major news.

True- and they've gone to the trouble of updating the entry list on the official website, as well as the driver and team info. I think we can assume this one's for real.
