Mike Sheraton should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
[ETCC] Salzburgring Race.... more entries needed?

The next rounds of the ETCC are this weekend, the grid has had atleast 4 or 5 additions, although we have lost around 3.

I would just like to know why more teams aren't signing up, if they would it would become alot more prestigious!

But they won't sign up whilst it's not very prestigious.

Thompson and Nykjear are the only ones to buck the trend at the moment!

Alfa Fan has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Nobody can see the point in it is the problem. Expanding to four races spread across the season was a bad idea too. A well supported race which could be an add-on to the Italian, Germany, Swedish, British touring car championships finale would be a good idea I think. And some agreement between the national MSAs to provide some funding support each time they host it.

Some sort of end of season shoot out rotating around the different countries maybe be better suited in the current financial climate, particularly if it was the last round of the hosting countries championship.

Run that shootout after the natioanl series finale then, in the evening. Cause if you run the ETCC together with the national serie in teh same race it will be a mess, run the ETCC shootout before the national series finale race and no-one will race it cause they wont risk their car before their season finale.

Looks like Flash Engineering decided that both ETCC and DTC was a no-go this season anyway. Quite a shame.

I doubt Eurosport will show it at all now in the UK. They only showed race 2 from Braga last year for the 2009 cup which was pointless as we didn't get to see race 1 in the UK. Looking at the live timing, the only thing of much interest is Rossi coming up through the field, so doubt we have missed much, could of done with the Engstler car not crashing yesterday and the ADAC Audi racing - 2 or 3 more mid-field cars may of made it a little more interesting. Shame Poulsen and Campanico couldn't of made it too.
