Kessel have always been supposedly coming in with a number of new 488s, curious to see these are all older 458s.

Last thing I can find on Rinaldi is they are planning a 1-2 car effort in new 488's with one pro one pro am... Nothing confirming purchase even though.

Latest on Kessel other than this Instagram photo is an interview at the start of Feb saying they are planning 2x 488'sin both sprint and enduro, and an additional 458 in endurance only.

After browsing through the thread, I thought it might be a good idea to collect the various links for the confirmed/probable/maybe entries. I only bothered doing it for sprint though: entry list with links is here.

Blancpain GT website states: "In the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup the Pro-Am Cup is for pairings with one Bronze driver. The Silver Cup is for Pro cars with two Silver drivers, with no age limit."

Less of an emphasis on Silver Cup then, with the cars effectively being run in Pro Cup.

For WRT, both Leonard and Meadows are listed as silver at the moment. Seems destined for Pro (Silver) Cup in Spint if so. Surely a Pro car in Endurance as well with the inclusion of Frijns. Sil/Sil/Plat.

De Leneer (Sil), Kox (Gold), Kaffer (Plat) is another Pro entry.

Balzan (Gold), Giammaria (Gold), Perez Companc jr (TBA) should be another Pro Cup entry as well. Perhaps they will be downgraded as they've announced a 458 campaign, but still sounds like a Pro entry for me. If not downgraded, it seems like AF Corse will field two Pro entries, with Lathouras (Sil) seemingly paired up with Michele Rugolo and another TBA driver.

A devaluing Brazilian currency has bumped the cost of the season four fold and so they've pulled the plug for 2016.

That's a massive shame. I like those guys and their livery.

Updated with new entries and removal of Team Brazil.

Kinda expecting to see more in Enduro, 45 at the moment is a little low, I think those do well with 55+

I know they wanted more even grids between the two but it'll be interesting to see a sprint race on a tight track like brands hatch or zandvoort running nearly double the cars they did last year!!!

Not been keeping as much of an eye on Blancpain over the off-season. What is the reason for the explosion of interest in the Sprint series this year? That's a great car count.

Eligibility for the Pro-Cup at Spa 24 is tied to running at least one car (per manucturer) in the full series (endurance and sprint).

I'd guess that and the reduction from 7 to 5 races, the switch to GP tracks and the greater focus on the overall title.
