Hoping Joeb is staying above water this week and hasn't been washed away yet out there.

Thanks man it is completely nuts here. It is hard to know for sure but right now the best guess is somewhere between 50 and 70000 homes have been flooded. We were lucky enough not to be part of that. And flooding is continuing in surrounding areas.

We try to entertain ourselves, if nothing else.
You should certainly come, just be aware of ants, clay dust, followed very closely by clay mud, storms, heat, cold and us.
I don't know how it really compares, but would like to think Road ATL is a large, faster Lime Rock. LR a place I need to get to!

My thing at sportscar races is camping in a vehicle.
Daytona is done by flying down on the Thursday, renting a minivan, buying a cheap air mattress, and camping out before packing everything up and flying home Monday.
Gotta love cars, climate controlled, solid tents!

Thanks to JHamilton, I drive 40 mins and sleep in this (mud included and mud NOT thanks to JHamilton):

Thanks to broadrun, we get a spot close enough to where you walk 30 ft to the right of pictured camper to the fence at T4. He also cooks wonderful pastries in a dutch oven, which is what the camper smells like after night 2.
Thanks to joeb and his dyke building skills , we had only a "mildly moist" canopy standing area. Unfortunately, he's getting more practice as we speak
I brought the dull shovel and good tunes.
Can we go now?

Hey don't knock that shovel, it saved us. That pic made me want to be there. I just spent 2 days completely gutting houses. So if you are counting at home, 2 down 50,000 plus to go.
Today there were multiple trucks rolling through the neighborhood I was in handing out free refreshments to people gutting houses. Smoothie King was giving away free smoothies, a bank was giving away ice cream, and the red cross had water and food. My 6 yr old son has been out of school for a week due to flooding, so I had him come with me. He enjoyed smashing walls, but the flooding became real to him when we had to pick up this family's ruined toys and other possessions.

That's rough certainly something he'll remember forever.
Kudos to you, joeb, the smoothie makers and bankers for pitching in. Hearing stuff like that gives me some hope that we all aren't doomed.

He will remember that forever and that's a good thing. I remember being 8 or 9 and going on a trip to the SC coast to do disaster relief after Hugo. The power of nature is humbling for people of all ages.

To bring us back on topic, the schedule looks to be getting worse as the years go on:
http://www.roadatlanta.com/images/20...016_PUBLIC.pdf
No Friday race after quali, which i think is new. No big series sessions on Wednesday; not new, but still a bummer.
Mazdas and Beetles the only support races outside of the struggling Conti series.
It's all so awful.

that's not great, but if I could change anything, it would be getting the shower trucks at the track like Sebring.

That's would be nice. The shower in T4 is fit for farm animals, hence why JHamilton has brought a camp shower with him. Unfortunately we got natural showered last year.

Nice, reskin/paint your old ones? Will go well with the Vette yellow bags, but guess I need Ford blue ones instead of the AM green ones.

Nice looking boards! And the showers at T4 last year were great, I don't know what all the complaints are about.....or maybe waiting 30 minutes for an ice water shower sucked, I just can't remember.
Anyways, one month from today and we will be trackside.
