Like the front bumper on the Falcon, looks the goods. Think the wing will look good, just need to see it where it doesn't blend in to the background so much.

IMO it Looks very "bulb-ish" (like a fat little Lightening McQueen but bigger )

Is this an Armegeddon design ?

"bulb-ish" haha

kinda looks like Falcon wearing a Commodore bodykit. then again.. i guess it is after years and years of seeing a squarer front on a Ford NZV8 and V8SC.. the ST does look a bit different.

Looks a bit weird and bulbous and I don't get the gap, unless that is piece added later.

It says on the facebook page that Bairdo's car isn't complete but they wanted to show what was on it so far.

It's just the angle of the photo, the Falcons have a weird front tyre well shape, it doesn't conform to the shape of the tyre, it kicks forward a bit, shooting down on it has just accentuated it.

The new rear wing looks good.... quite different and not what you're used to seeing... but I think once you get used to it looking a little "different" it does the job (aesthetically speaking).

From an 'average punters' persepctive, I don't know that there's much that makes the NZST and the NZV8 stand out hugely... but certainly, the marketing team behind NZST seem to be head, shoulders, chest and waist above thier NZV8 counterparts at this point in time.

there have been endless rumours since the birth of this series

"New Zealand's V8 SuperTourers will beat V8 Supercars to adding another manufacturer to its competition.

The new series, set to debut in February 2012, will be contested by 16 identical chassis, with category organisers having already confirmed the participation of Ford Falcon FG and Holden Commodore VE body styles.

Speedcafe.com has learned that both Toyota and BMW could also be represented in the category, with teams to adopt body shapes from each manufacturer."

"could be" and "are" are two different things. I know Paul Cep used to do lots with BMW back in his day so I wouldn't have been too surprised if they did join.
On the ST facebook page they said the old you can lead a horse to water quote. So I don't think it wasn't for a lack of trying.
