Murphy in 2004
Who do you think Murph will be driving for next year. I just have a feeling it won't be HRT or K-Mart. Things don't seem that rosy there.
Might we see Murph in a Ford or at least Greg Murphy Motorsport entering the fray in 2004. |

It certainly would be possible, with the 3 car GMM Porsche Carrera Cup team immaculately turned out, if not as fast as they would like

Might be a cheap way to get him off the books? Send him on his way with a car would free up a space in the evil empire.
There is also a few franchises that are or will be up for sale so Spud can get a say on the running of the show as well. |

The best option would be to merge GMM with Team Kiwi, and maximise the NZ connection.... pick up Thexton's franchise along the way then everything becomes sweet

The Lada was a good venture for Brock though, all the people who worked for HDT in the halcyon days had nothing to do once Holden told them to bugger off, so stripping Lada's down to bare metal and building them again was a good way of filling in time.
Not as sexy as building a Group A SS but still paid the wages..... |

If today's Sun Herald article by the Anti-Supercar campaigner Peter McKay is to be believed, all 3 teams could be sold off within 60 days by decree of the clownjuice at TEGA.
Fun part from this could be where the Kmart-kitted version ends up. GMM has the capacity and connections to raise the funding for a team buy from the NZ motor mafia, not sure how they would get on for a franchise. Presumably the would be an available lease on a JFR franchise if required?? |

I thought that symbol had exercised their option on the purchase of the JFR franchise. I am probably mistaken though. It was said that the option could be picked up by Holden at any time for an agreed sum. Symbol would probably buy them and sell off to GMM.

I doubt Holden would exercise a right to purchase if they are already copping it from all angles with the ownership of the HRT franchise....
Wonder if there are stamp duties applicable to such asset transfer transactions |
