So... in the full rear view mirror hindsight that is an end of season look see.. did Nissan achieve what was expected this season? And will they be stronger next year, or fall back a little as the regular teams in 888 and FPR and HRT get their lollies sorted...

All I can say is that it's great to see them talking about the positive steps they're taking in their own team development rather than whinging about parity like they were a few months ago before the enduros.
I really hope Nissan, Erebus and Volvo can get some good results this year. |

In there 1st year, one race win (one/two), pole position a couple of top ten qualifing and race results.
Not too bad for the first year. |

At one stage during the year Todd Kelly was quoted as saying how disappointed he was when he realised the 2013 Altima was not going to be a front runner.
However the Kelly Racing Team performance was better than 2012. I have never heard of a Team wanting to get rid of downforce, but if this works and with the increased NISMO horsepower and if the Team can evolve more into Nissan Motorsports than Kelly Racing then they should go well in 2014. |
