Eeee the Lightweight. Remember having one of these, re-built by Carl Amos, with the Rover 3.5 V8 lump, overdrive, freewheeling hubs, and Rover Diffs.

Still my 65 IIa, original specs, does me nicely now. Simple, no silly electronics, all you need is a sledge hammer and a couple of spanners. Basically it is just a meccano set.

Extremely good front brakes?

(Actually, there does appear to be a 'jump' behind where maybe the Landie came across the grass verge and didn't acually touch the road.

FLYING LANDIES

Re your question Rookie, actually, the answer that Veteran gave was dead on.
The picture was taken on the Alermera rally in Holland a couple of years ago and shows a chum of mine, Alan Paramore, who currently runs the Armed Forces Rally team coming in to land after taking off on a slope at the other side of the road, he apparently scraped the bottom of the front bumper on landing!!!
Regards,
Les Dalton.
