cheap rear-drive car

This post is only really relevant if you live in Australia, but i am after a new car, can't be very expensive, not too old, preferrebly rear wheel drive. My mind is blank, most smaller cars seem to be front-drive these days. Anyone able to help?

Hep us out here Racerdude. How expensive, how old? Give us hard numbers and we'll get back to you.

Most small cars went FWD in the early '80s and most medium cars went FWD in the mid' 80s.

There is only one answer...

1980 Mazda 626 four door sedan.

You can have an Orange one for $2,250 with 10 months rego. It's parked out the front.

Oh God I've been under cut! The publican's Dad down the local told me he is selling his '79 model 626 with a good body and box for $500. It is just lost an oil ring and is pumping oil out the tail.

What will I do?

Two cars for the price of one. Not a bad idea.

I saw another one at the wreckers today with a great body (for a twenty year old).

Next question.
Should I seek professional help?

I mean Psychiatry not Mechanical.
