Here's a quick look into what it will take for Olivier Beretta to win the championship over Johnny O at Laguna next weekend http://nasportscar.com/it-all-comes-...a-vs-oconnell/

Why not schedule two races for the finale weekend??? Seems so silly to cram 2 into sonoma with indy car and not do 2 at laguna on a stand alone weekend??

PWC finale weekend at Laguna is just another shared weekend with Indycar with the exception of the Indycars not being present - the full ladder to Indy is there, all of three series (USF2000, Pro Mazda and Indy Lights) having 2 races over the weekend each.
PWC has 1 GT(A)+Cup race, 1 GTS race and 3 TC races. All that makes for a pretty full schedule. Agreed, 2 GT(A) races (not necessarily with Cup) at the finale would have made more sense. Something to improve for next year then! |

Laguna has begun......
......and it's still impossible to find the Sonoma races online. I have been actively avoiding the series for nearly two weeks now in efforts to avoid spoilers. Enjoy that sponsors (although fully aware I'm not your key demographic!)... Also, seems like something is brewing BoP-wise according to JD's Twitter feed. Regardless, looking forward to watching the weekend races at whatever time they're on. The series has certainly made its own set of road bumps this year, but there's some great racing and a quality grid in there - combine it with a circuit like Laguna and I'm stoked. |

Venues are (almost all) great ones but 3 back-to-back events is a bit much and Detroit seems to be missing so far (although things have changed before).
And no word on the Sprint X thingy, is it still alive? The resignation of Bove is a surprise and shows that PWC acknowledges their issues are growing above (haha, pun intended ) their head. |

This could be pretty cool! Also of interest, it appears the top three PWC teams still get to race at Zandvoort. Quote:
