Who will be the winner???!!!???
2000 will be remembered as the year for rubbish games. There were no true classics to follow the likes of Metal Gear Solid or Final Fantasy 7, so instead we had to make do with a pretty naff bunch of releases. However, after much deliberation, Minardi fan's top 5 games of 2000 are...
5. F1 Championship 2000 - (PS2) - Lacks any innovation but is decent racing fun. 4. Fantavision (PS2) - sheer innovation and a bizarre hypnotic quality get this game a high recommendation. 3. Vagrant Story (PS) - Stunning - flawed only by it's horrendous difficulty level. 2. Theme Park World (PS2) - Superb graphics and fantastic gameplay. 1. Muppet RaceMania (PS) - The game everyone forgot. THE most playable game of the year - it had me engrossed for months. Superb graphics together with astoundingly GOOD gameplay come together in 2000's BEST game. In a year of dismal games, a true gem. The ones which just missed out... - Grand Prix 3, The Sims. And of course special mention to Sim City 3000: UK Edition, which, as an update, doesn't really count... |

F1 Championship 2000 is no longer on my list. At 5 will instead be either The Sims or Sim City 3000: UK Edition.

I buy very few games for my PC, as I wouldn't get to ever play on them whilst at university. I also dislike the hassle which PC games present. That said, I will always come back to the PC at some point because it has Sim City 3000 and the wonderous Rollercoaster Tycoon!!!

Seeing as I purchased a Dreamcast the other day and have Ecco the Dolphin and Shenmue for it, expect my FINAL top 5 of 2000 to be announced ooh... sometime in May 2003.
