I'm still a sourpuss about them binning Motor Racing Australia unceremoniously. My subscription to AMC got screwed up royally too, hopefully they get it sorted out as they said they would. So I haven't been too much in a hurry to sign up for Motorsport News in the print format.
After Speedsport magazine in New Zealand went bust and made off with $150 bucks left on my subscription, *******s, I'm pretty much put off paying large subscription fees for paper magazines and the associated postage. Within a short period of time I think i'm getting to the point if I can't get it digitally I wont be reading it. |

I just had a look at the PDF and that's working. Sligtly more annoying to read in terms of flicking pages etc, but it works and actually the images come up nicer to look at on screen too

why no coverage of MotoGP in last nights edition? Sure there is GPWeek, but they covered the Canadian Swimming Endurance race in MeNews, so why not MotoGP, especially when Casey gave them a shallacking?

On a related subject... the Great Race #31 book for the 2011 SuperCheap Auto Bathurst 1000....
Back in the 'olden days', this book used to take Mr Tuckey and his crew almost 12 months to collate the information, crank up a few stories, herd the photos, to develop & print the tome just before Bathurst the next year. The management of the publication changed in that time, in the last few years this was released just prior to Christmas, to make it in time for gift giving season. Of interest is that the book had always been printed in Australia.. As of this year's edition... it seems that our friends in China have been given the responsibility for putting words & images to page. Ok, so we are in a global market. Price wins presumably. Except the latest edition of MN (Print edition) has the Great Race 31 book.. on pre-order.. when you call the number.. it seems that March is now the new release date. March. I thought things were supposed to get faster not slower in this new age of technology. Merry Christmas to the Chinese printers, and to the formerly employed Australian printers... March. Sheesh! |

The last Great Race book I've got is 21 (2001).
It just lost the gloss and detail of the Tuckey era. |
