PI Research Pressure Sensor Calibration

Hey Guys,

I have a System 3+ in my track car and have it largly configured except for calibration of the 2 X Honeywell 1-6v sensors (SA200PS1C1D) that I have measuring oil and fuel pressure. They are plugged directly into 2 of the general purpose 1-5v inputs. Going by the documentation (which specifies 1-6 v sensors) you apply specific calibration -

Input Raw
0 204
xxx / 1.2 1023

I just need a little help with where to go within the channel calibration window to enter the info (im using the version 6 software)? Is it on the "change channel parameters" window within the "calibrate" section or do I have to go into the "calibration type" and apply a specific curve?

any advice/help appreciated..

cheers,

Sam

I think since your Pi system can only measure up to 5V, your sensors will only have a range of 0 - 166 psi (ie, 200 psi/1.2, another way to think of it as 5/6 of the 200 psi range). So you should make a linear curve with 0psi at 204, and 166psi at 1023.

Give that a try, see if your results look reasonable (or test with a known pressure value, say using your air compressor).
