Drink ACO Entry Press Conference 2015 - Feb 5th
LE MANS ENTRY LIST REVEAL 2015

Alright folks time for proper thread, it's the Paris ACO press conference for revealing the entries of Le Mans 24 hours 2015 (+WEC & ELMS) this Thursday, from 3 PM CET onwards. My favorite sports related day all winter.

Live audio (~90 min slot)

Last three years: 2014 - 2013 - 2012

Will there be any surprises? Well most certainly in the little prototype class and lower GTs at the very least as the influx of entries has been so massive this year (and the promises of new garages have stupidly been called off). The reserve lists could have some very big names! Meanwhile LMP1 should have minimum of 11 factory cars and 3 privateers = 14 cars, the biggest for quite a while and obviously biggest in works front since 1999. As for Garage 56 - don't hold your breat for that appearing, even if it's still mentioned in regs.

Hopefully this year less useless ramblings and chitchatting with French celebrities, and more time devoted to the actuall entry announcements. But I suspect they will go on about the annoying new tarmac runoffs and facility upgrades especially for quite a while.

In any case, bring it down

Anyhow with the $$$ wall for the rest of the season it's hardly gonna matter is it. I suspect the only other day of the season it's gonna come handy - if used again - will be Test Day

Is the pay wall definitely coming back?

In any instance, hope they ramp up their content on YouTube and stop uploading things onto Dailymotion as if anyone actually uses it. I used to find the ACO's loyalty to French things rather quaint but sometimes it's counter-productive and plain frustrating.

This must be the first time they've streamed anything on YouTube.

Dunno but I wouldn't bet against it. At least they haven't removed the bits referring to it from their sites (not that the ACO web people have made themselves proud lately anyway) and the app is still going

Compared to the outgoing marketing firm Infront do seem to be more media-savvy, so I would expect a few changes to the way video content is handled. Unfortunately the paywall won't be one of them - after all, these guys have to earn their fee somehow...

Hopefully full race broadcasts will be uploaded this season, even if we do have to "pay" for the privilege. I don't see them abandoning Dailymotion but they really should be uploading content to Youtube as well.

"The configuration of the driver line-ups in the three Nissan GT-R LM NISMOs will be revealed once all of the drivers have been announced."

Quality over quantity in the ELMS this season, but there'll be several one-off and occasional entries I'd imagine.

Very solid ELMS field, this will be worth watching!

I still feel GT3s and ACO series simply don't mix very well. Number down to 7 entries this year.

They'll have three cars at Le Mans.
And it seems Matsuda may be Le Mans only.

Me neither. Think GTC might just quietly die in the next couple of seasons.

I'm not sure how bothered the ACO is really. It was just a very easy way of boosting up grid numbers.
