His moving from BJR to Penske was more about opening American doors rather than wanting to continue with Fabian IIRC. Maybe he feels now he should make the move.

That is just a thought based on nothing I have read recently, just remembering that when he joined Penske he did say his ambition longer term was to work in the US. I recall a family connection withNorth America and a wish to be closer to them

Just found this old article from when he joined Penske, that supports my post. http://www.supercars.com/news/champi...s-his-reasons/

Correct. Many faces from Supercars, past and present, in all sorts of roles.

Even former HRT head honcho Mike Henry was there working within a team.

Keed was at last weekend’s Bathurst 12 Hour with Audi, but is thought to remain under contract to Penske and is not expected back in the Supercars paddock this year.

Polycarbonate.

The hatch assembly is carbon/kevlar, as is the rear bumper and roof skin. Outer quarter panel skins are fibreglass. Inner quarter panel skins, inner and outer C-pillars, inner and outer roof turrets are OEM pressed sheet metal. From memory, they have rail extensions and upper shotgun rails as part of the CotF design, which I'm sure form a framework to hang the rearmost panels off.

Meantime in AA this week, it is reported that Mr Jacobson is set to partner with Mr Heimgartner, Mr Fiore with Mr Caruso, Mr Wall with Mr Kelly... and Mr Rullo with Ms de Silvestro.

And where to for Dave Russell? Replacing a solid enduro driver like him with someone like Rullo makes no sense at all

It would seem possible that the Harvey Norman cheque is insufficient.

As above. No use getting the best drivers if there is not enough money to pay for putting the car on the track (let alone development, of which presumably the SdS racer won't receive any given the insufficient budget and hence "krate" status that ensues).

He could slot in pretty much anywhere, and do a decent job to be honest.

The enduro thing seems to suit him quite well.
