That would be great

So no Tidö then? Thats a bummer. That still means we will have a very thin feild.

Any Brovallen KIAs there?

No, and they won't be racing KIAs

I believe they will make an announcement this week.

Only four laps for the Seat today just to make sure things are in order before running the full day tomorrow.

Interesting move. Good thing its not so difficult to switch out the headlights and grill and you have a new car :P they've done it a few times now so I guess its easy for them.

Why this amount of new cars if we probably are going to have a TCR Swedish Series starting from 2017? Will we have two separate championships?

No. STCC will switch to TCR. And new cars in STCC are cheap, because their are almost unit vehicles.

They aren't new cars. They're only new front/rear bodyworks, and thats a cheap fix.

Although it looks like the Seat is entirely new body panels.

But it stands true that what is underneath is the same and thus relatively inexpensive to change. Relatively.

The way Brovallen has done it in the past is relatively cheap.

The Seat is done from scratch though and development took over 3000 man hours so it certainly wasn't cheap.

Nice to see the sponsors and Seat back them with £££. Great for the series

Say what you will about silhouette racers but this thing looks really awesome and they're fast too.

So, Brovallen's Citroëns, Kias and now Fords are different in the bodywork only?

Yes. It's the same chassis underneath.

Would've been nice if they had at least used different engines... but I guess that's all water under bridges now with the days of the TTA-cars being pretty much numbered.

That was the original plan but with they way things have developed we're more likely to see something like TCR cars. Right now it's about getting a good year or two before the change.

Indeed. However, in my book I can only see 11-13 cars on the grid right now, and with high profile names like Björk, Ekblom and Larsson leaving, the arrival of SEAT and Ford (in exisitng teams) are too little too late. Hope it will be a good season though.
