Well, the only way the Wankel engine ban could be lifted is by lobbying, which is how Toyota and Audi are doing it right now when it comes to BoP.

If Mazda, or anybody else (Buick?) wanted to race a rotary the ACO would just simply grant them a waiver.

Big difference, as how you said it, implies direct ban made specifically against rotary, which is not true and has never been. Last edited by deggis; 19 Jun 2013 at 15:21. |

I have understood that the rotary engine is more fuel consumption than a normal engine. The new regulation is governed for the fuel consumption.
What is the sense of making a rotary engine? Perhaps a hydrogen rotary engine would make sense http://www.mazda.com/mazdaspirit/rotary/hre/rx-8/ |

This is in line with what I heard about TMG becoming more business oriented. Not just racing projects also with its own line of Toyota vehicles.

I'm sure it would work. The question is whether it could be gotten onto the grid at a reasonable price.

[QUOTE=jaguarista;3265056] Jaguar is planning 700bhp F-Type R-S Coupe to rival Porsche 911
Jaguar needs 700hp to get closer to Porsche 911. It's a bit sad. Porsche needs less power than its opponents to be the best. A great difference. That's why Porsche is Porsche. |
