jd yort should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Kerrick Sports Sedans 2009

Mark Nelson & Dean Randle have just announced the dates for the 2009 Championship. I would think most competitors will be pleased that they get 2 chances to say goodbye to Oran Park.

Round 1: Wakefield Park 25-26 April – Shannon’s Nationals
Round 2: Mallala 6-7 June – Shannon’s Nationals
Round 3: Oran Park 29-30 August – Shannon’s Nationals
Round 4: Oran Park Oct 31- Nov 1 – NSW State Series
Round 5: Phillip Island 21-22 Nov - 50K Plate

I wouldnt mind seeing them at Bathurst again... see if they could go quicker up the hill and down Conrod than the big show...

Remember Mr Carling's alleged 300km/h+... supposedly the first time it had been done...

Mr Carling was known to be very generous on the boost in his day. I am sure he would of had it wound right up for his curiosity factor alone....

I would also think Tony and Darren would comfortably take the two front row positions against the V8's.

I heard a rumor that sports sedans are trying to get a spot at bathurst in 2010. But not on a v8sc weekend

With the 12-Hour? I suppose if the event remains as 'Shannons National' status, it is definately a good chance of happening...fingers crossed.

Ive only heard this chat within the sports sedan community.

It really depends on grid numbers. Entry for bathurst is quiet big
but when you have 50 cars its not so bad. Hopefully people start pulling there cars out of sheds and start racing them then this could be very possible.

I reckon it would be quiet a small gap, v8sc teams have endless knowledge around the mountain with set ups and budgets to fix there cars if they smash them. So i would assume tony and darren wouldn't push to the limit of a supercar.

No Qld round of the ASSC.

ASSC at B12 in 2010? Oh yes please, bring it on.

I'd hate to see what crashing a sports sedan at Reid Park would do to the driver..... and I'm not sure that CAMS are all that keen to find out.

I dare say that after last years 1000, there will be changes made to the barriers at Reid Park to make the corner safer.

Not sure why, the barriers did not really play a part in the incident. Weel spun on his own, didn't hit the barriers, then got hit by a driver that was deemed to be driving carelessly to the point that he received a $6000 fine. IF they did not change it after the Porter-Clark crash then they won't change it for that.

They last ran there 92. Apart from the normal first corner commotion I don't think there were any major accidents.

Radisich was hurt because the concrete wall was naked. The next day they had tyre barriers in place. Can't see any changes happenning there either, except maybe to widen the driveway from improved vehicle clearance which was why I'm imagining there were not tyres there in the first instance.

Or curve the end of the existing wall more where it stops to deflect the car away from a head on situation.
