LMP900 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Johansson Audi in FIA SSC

In the latest Autosport it reports that Jan Lammers & Stefan Johansson were going to drive for Champion Racing but that Stefan Johansson mentioned that he could still run his Audi in Europe, so that's either the interseries or the FIA SCC, HARD CHOICE!!

I hope this comes to fruition because the racing should be great!!!!

The Fia SCC doesn't need this. They have a great field with lots of potential winners, but an Audi in that series will be like the wolf in the hen house. If they are allowed to run that car, it has to be severely restricted or all the races will be blowouts. That would wreck everything that the orgainizers had worked so hard to achieve.
Let's hope they hang a ton of wieght on the car so the others have a chance.

I agree with Austin!

The FIA SCC cars look ancient compared to the Audi R8's and the rest of the ALMS cars.

Zero competition for the Audi, hard to see that series flourish when the best prize goes to the much more advanced car!

It looks like the FIA series is indeed flourishing, but the fastest way to run everyone off is to have Audi come in and make them look utterly foolish. Look at the ALMS!

And from a compeditor's standpoint, winning is not the absolute only reason you go. The most fun i ever had was losing a real tough, hard fight in the last laps (well, winning like that is even better), but if you have NO chance right from the beginning of the weekend, that is just not fun at all. That's why these guys aren't in the ALMS. Why go get embarrassed when you can go and race at the front?

And if the Audi comes into the series with full ALMS trim, and with a professional semi-factory effort like Johnson's, the series is dead. Fini!

Ah but you are forgetting that at Le mans 2001 a certain Dutch Dome was quicker than that Particular Audi! Plus I rate Jan Lammers Higher then Stefan Johansson. Add to that the tyre choices, no Michelin! Goodyears work excellent on the Dome.

it will work out for the best, if it happens

It depends on Gulf

I think it will depend on what Gulf wants to do.

There are no Gulf stations in the states, so I don't see ALMS happening.

LM 24 and FIA SCC is more likely.

While I don't want to see him come in a drive everyone in the FIA Series away, I don't think he would. LMP 900 is right,no Michelins are a big factor in making the cars equal.
