China Circut Championship--F1 of Chinese Touring Car

There are 4 group in Chinese Circut Championship(CCC)--Formula Campus by Renault, 1600cc Chinese Touring Car, 2000cc Chinese Touring Car and the Formula CF2000 by Chang'an Ford is coming in 2007 season.



I'll talk about the 1600cc & 2000cc, today, I'll talk about the 1600cc first.

CCC 1600cc does not like the other Asian Touring Car race, we can't see many Honda, Because all the car in CCC touring car should be made in China(include the joint venture),the engine should build in China, we can't see any type R & Euro R. And they are replaced by NISSAN TIIDA, VW Polo, Kia & the other 1600cc car, and the factory owner see the business benefits of it, so, many factory teams was born start from 2006.
FASC have to limit the quantity of team in 1600cc should be <10, & there are 8 factory teams in 2006, the GM will join in 2007, so we(Chinese) said that CCC is the F1 of Chinese Touring Car.
They spend many money & technology on CCC, e.g. NISSAN was instructions NISMO to go to China to support the team in CCC(we can see the TIIDA CCC in the NISMO festival this year).The Team KIA was supported by the winer in KGTC & move the technology they learn in BTCC. VW help the SVW 333 Racing to tune the engine.

Many car in CCC is joint venture, because they have enough parts & data to tune the car, but we also can see the Chinese Factory's Car like Brilliance Zhonghua M2 & Geely CK1

Brilliance is BMW's Panter in China, their Zhonghua M2 is delovement by 3 series(you can Imagine that it is a 3 series FWD version).Brilliance was join 2000cc group in 2005, but they think that there are more business benefits in 1600cc group, so they move to 1600cc in 2006, but the 3 series chassis is too big & too weight for 1600cc engine, & they have no light chassis, it maybe better if they move back to 2000cc group.

All CCC 1600cc driver is Chinese(not include HK,MC & TW), because they want to give some chance to the mianlane driver(if they don't do that, they will replaced by HK Driver) at first. But the mainland driver is very skillful today, so many people ask that let the HK, MC & TW driver to join 1600cc group, but we mustn't see that in 2007.

There are 2 group of touring car in CCC
CCC 2000cc group is open to China, HK, MC & TW driver
but 1600cc Group is just for Chinese driver
