What happened to Italy?

They were in the top 5 but now they aren't even in the top 10.

Not a bad result for team GB, could be better but 5th is a good place to start the sprint race, IMO.

Slightly off topic, does anyone know how many times the boost button can be used during the race?

Got a feeling that for this first race we're seeing a difference in the teams configuration of the cars, rather than a true show of the driver's talents ... hopefully the cream will rise to the top in later qualifications/races.

Ireland are right in the middle of the field. It will be a tough debut for young Michael Devaney so I wish him all the best.

Nor did I, but there's more information here. He must be pretty useful to be preferred over Jonny Reid and he came across as very positive in the TV interviews. Mind you, WSR did an excellent job, too. Good to see them back in single seaters.

There is NOTHING surprising about New Zealand's results given the expertise available to the New Zealand team - there are a lot of kiwi's involved at top level international motor racing and a rich heritage in motorsport history. We haven't seen a chequered flag yet so it's a bit early for finger pointing at "could have" and "should have" teams. Hot laps and racing can be worlds apart.

The warm-up starts soon. It might be worth keeping an eye on MST's Live Timing screen, just in case...

Ireland in 17th. Not too good. We need a really good start. A top 10 would be nice

It really doesn't meant that much - Brazil were 19th. It's just a chance for teams that were slow yesterday to see if overnight changes have improved things, e.g. USA, and for teams that were quick, not much more than a systems check.

Thats true, I know. But you can't exclude the fact that teams that, who went good in qualifying, and were simply off the pace in warm-up, may fall back gradually during the race. And vice versa.
