...on a Sunday with no racing to go to ?! What do you lot spend the winter months doing ? OK, so we have live CART on Eurosport tonight at 10, and then the truck racing next weekend, but after that... ?
Did anyone see the Richard West interview in Autosport this week ? It tells us there's only 24 weeks to go until the new season... Whoopey! |

Do they play tennis in winter here? Strange lot...
Am I right in thinking, Craig, that this is the meeting you've been longing to go to for quite a while? If so, I'll be there... |

What to do in the winter. Well, I'll certainly be out partying and catching up with my mates that I hardly get to see during the motorsport season. Can't wait for next season but lots to do in the meantime. But tennis........ nah!

Yeah, but it's all at Brands and Snetts ie: the other side of the country
Looking for something to do over the winter - we could always go to Gaydon before the year's out I've never been there before, so I'd like to see the whole place as well as the Williams exhibition that's on there. http://tentenths.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=4976 |

Blimey! Minis everywhere! Although it's in my back garden, Snetterton is indeed the other side of the country from your point of view Carrie. Sorry about that! If I could move it west a bit, I would! I'll be there Chris. (Aren't there an awful lot of 'Spindlies' in that list? ) |

There's only one problem.... IT'S WINTER!..... brrrrr. Get the thermals out.
Contrary to the above, I'm up for meetings over the winter, money permitting. |

Australia isn't the best place for racing in summer.
ASTC has started up in summer, which is one a month around the country. Sprintcars, drags, and um...that's about it once Bathurst comes and goes other than the ALMS race on new year's eve. |

If your not going racing, summer is eminently more preferable than winter. Lorna, you know you're welcome, in fact all 10/10ers from the UK are welcome at my place. I have a largish guest room and would love to show y'all the best of South East Queensland. Make sure you come in Summer to make the most of your trip.
Me, I'll be spending summer rebuilding the Datsun, there's a lot of work to do! It's been a couple of days now and I'm still pretty sore, but I think the pain in the wallet wil be the worst part. |

Thanks David. I've just got to get the finance for the flight now! Sorry I haven't got that four bed house anymore for when you eventually get over here but I've got a comfortable living room! Ask the other 10/10thers, they've stayed on it a couple of times.

Wonderful - thanks a heap, Lorna - and to Virgin for supply of a free train trip, each and every time I visit Milton Keynes. Whoops! Shouldn't say that here!! Don't tell anyone I said that...

Yeah, Dan. How did you manage that? Was there a girl on the ticket stand at the train station that fancied you everytime?

What do I do in the winter? Watch ice hockey, save money for the good weather - got a racing car and a speedway bike to support as well as Montreal, Le Mans, Toronto Molson Indy, Goodwood and Rockingham to save for.
What the world needs is a tunnel under the Atlantic Ocean. And a train to run through it. |
