DC is a talented formula one driver.. of which there are about 50 in the whole world - as if any of the DC bashers could do a better job. For one reason and another he hasn't got the job but as long as he has the right attitude and commitment, he will (eventually) succeed.

And that would apply to anybody who critices any driver... I'd like to see you do a better job (unless you are a fellow F1 driver or a driver with really good prospects or something) but the avergae working Joe:- could you do better?

DC said today he'll definitely be on the grid next year.
He looked relaxed also - he knows more about his future than we do. |

I think today's results (Briritish GP) say it all. Not only was DC blown away by his team mate in qualifying he had a very lack lustre race. I can only see things deteriorating -- time to hang up the helmet!!

DC is obviously a fine driver technicaly but I think he's sometimes a bit too analytical about his craft and lacks the flair to be a racer in the true sense of the word. Nice fella tho.

He wasn't impressive at all this weekend, well and truly blown away by Kimi. Then again, in France he was probably the better Mclaren driver, although he faded on raceday.

DC reckons he's relearning how to drive.
I think he shouldn't skimp this time and go to BSM - they're a few £s an hour dearer, but they really help you get a feel for the car. |

He'll be at Jag next season, I'm pretty sure, but he's not in the top 10 drivers on pace, IMO. He's been in a top drive for 10 years, won a few races, made plenty of cash and is a world famous name, but I'd put him at the CDM and Panis level, rather than at the pace of even Trulli, or Fisi. He's solid, but imagine if Mac had two DC-ability drivers in their car - they'd be thinking that Sauber are still ahead of them, while Kimi proved that they're ahead of BAR now!? I'm sure he'd have a lot to offer a team technically, but he's simply not fast enough...

DC is a pretty good driver who has to compete against his teammate who is among the 3 best drivers. That is very hard. Many people do not think too much about Ralf Schumacher, but one has to understand that he also stands pretty well against JPM who is also a great driver. This is the reason that teams want Ralf and DC, they are not the best, but among the better drivers and they bring a ton of experience. Also, both of them are great testdrivers with exceptional development skills. That is very very valuable to a team in my opinion. I would choose DC over an F3000 champion any day.
