Oulton Park 24th September

Just wondering has anyone received tickets for this one yet, still not had mine so not sure if this is one where there has been a mix up in the volunteering database

Not yet but it is only Tue.

There must be a far superior, less costly and more user friendly way than using paper tickets and the Royal Mail.

Excellent. Our postie usually comes around 3pm, so hopefully there when I get home.
How does the race programme look? Tell me last race is not a 20 minute one scheduled to start at 18.10!

Indeed a warm welcome awaits you, Let it be known that it's your first time at Oulton and I am sure you will be looked after, its a great circuit

My tickets were on the mat when i got in but as yet Matthew hasnt any (He'll be there anyway even if on my guest ticket)

See you all there, it should be it's usual mayhem with Karts, Classic Forumla Fords and our own NW sports and saloons and MGOC

Tickets turned up yesterday, looking like a very good meeting, double header for the CNC's and looking at the karting website, 40 Karts entered just hope they all turn up

Does look like a good meeting. Last time I saw Karts at Oulton they were like bees around a honeypot but everybody managed to miss each other. I wonder if they could give some lessons to the touring car drivers (ha ha)

Yeh, I saw the karts earlier this year as well, was on Deer Leap. manic things, great fun to watch. Sounds like it should be a good day , probably my last of the year at Oulton so a good way to round out the year.

Hi Ian

Thx for the welcome.
Im a trainee...

Since I started back in May at Brands Hatch (On Druids), ive only managed two other meetings, one at Pembrey (at the end of the pit straight) and another at Brands Hatch (At the start of the pit straight)

Despite just the three I've done so far, I actually spent the majority of each day flagging, but had the excitement of pushing a Jedi MK6 Single seater - that had stalled after moving 15 metres up the grid at the start of the race - off in less than a minute on my own (they were short that day) including having to sprint after it to catch it up!

Oulton will be a first for me as a marshal and a first for my girlfriend as a racer. Last year she pulled out of the meeting at Oulton due to an engine problem. She is racing in the Blue No. 20 MG Midget with MGOC. I spent a couple of years coming to race meetings with her as a spectator/mechanic, so now Im adding Marshalling to the mix aswell, and luckily because she goes all over the country, I will be able to marshal all over the country too!

Usually slow and depends if there are any accidents.

Although busy the M6 Toll is normally flowing quite well, incidents permitting.
