diz should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
As of 1015 this morning there are 3 full day testing spaces available.
It was originally full, but MSV had it down as Fosters and as it is now on Island, more cars are allowed.

So anybody from the other regions who was reticent about coming for two races for £165 without testing, get your race entry in now.

Not unless you are racing a Porsche.
We're all at the back by the petrol pumps. The Moose Centre will be by the Paddock gate again.

Well Alan, you know how low the ground clearance is on those Porsches. Oh and they might get their tin tops wet if it rains.

Local Formula Championship pushed out to the back of the paddock eh. Probably so they can't hear us moaning.

I've said before that the Champ of Oulton should be better supported!
The Marshals love you!
We've said give us a patch and we'll put it on our overalls to show support!
Come On Diz!

Does anyone know how Jason Minshaw and Phil Austin are? I heard they were basically ok after the accident but was just wondering if anyone had any more up to date news. From what i heard it was a big impact! Anyway i hope they are both back in good health soon.

Yes, all the best to both. Phil was loading his car onto the trailer himself while I believe Jason went to hospital, I think just for checks.

Yes, as Ian says above.
I believe Jason will be kept in for observation. He is at Leighton Hospital. His helmet was wrecked, but obviously did it's job. It is always best to wear the best safety kit.
As soon as I hear further news, I will post it here.

Yes Jason, hope your well soon. Your right red not a nice sight on the pit straight. Bad end to really great day. Other than that, a really good day. First meeting for 22 Years and 3 races, TOP. Finally quite a number of people came to witness my return and said what a great championship NWFF is and how much more exciting and entertaining than the rest of the program (right down to where i finished!!.)

I've just spoken to the Sister on Jason's ward and she said

"He's fine. He should be going home later today"

Good news indeed.

Thanks halecmini
Strong FF1600 grids and NW FF1600 go hand in glove. Good turnout from you Mono folks yesterday as well, plus loads of Porkers. All in all, a good meeting.

Good news that Jase is ok. It certainly looked very bad when I came through. It was a deflating end to what was other wise was a good day.

Would it be appropriate to raise the question as to what people's views were on the way the grid was lined up for the final race of the day? Maybe we should have been grouped together based on our pace in the previous 2 championship races?

what do you think?

I didn't see any trouble with Pre and Post cars against each other? It is a bit like saying my RF90 shouldn't race with Pikeys RF01?

Mike White drove a great race at the front and was a gent and Mike Bibby was going well till he over did it at knickerbrook. I know Pikey had "a few words" with Steve Jones at the end of the Moose race but I am not sure what that was for?

Maybe it should have been on lap times rather that position in your session but then you have the problem is the older cars have a dry session and the newer cars have a wet session like yesterday?

All in all a good days racing. It was also great to see a number of new drivers come into the series like Ray "Big Bones" Robinson and Neil "Is Druids flat" Patten!

I don't have a problem with the pre and the post cars racing together. There are, as you've already mentioned, several of the front running class B cars more than capable of running near to the front of a class A race.

My point was that based on yesterday's grid there were some definitely some "winners & losers". If you look at Mike White who started on row 3 or 4 (race winner of class B championship race) but John Wilkinson who finished runner up to Mike was right at the back!
