Texan should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
March Super Vee

I recently acquired March 80V-7. The AM number is 79 7. Is this just an oddity that both have the number 7, but one year apart? It makes sense that the tub could have been built in '79 and the finished product in '80. Any thoughts?

I think it makes sense. I don't think March built very many 79Vs, so they might well have had a few tubs lying around, and I doubt if the tub was very different between the 79 and 80 models.
Do you have any history on the car [for those of us still vainly trying to work out SV results in their spare spare spare time]

Thanks Chris. I will be picking up the car, along with a log book, in about 10 days. I will inform you of the info that I can collect at that time. Also, I have further info on my RT5.581 to provide to you soon.

While working on the March today, I noticed stenciling beneath the MARCH name but not in line with the chassis number. It is Y82. What does this signify?

Upon further inspection, the stenciling is 782, which would be proper for the March sequential build number.

Is this on the chassis plate?

Yes, this stenciling is on the chassis plate. It is beneath the March name. There is no specific spot for this stenciling - it is merely stenciled in an available open area.
