Engine rebuild

Good morning All,

I'm after a bit of advice / help on the rebuild of the ff engine.

I pulled the head off last night. The looks generally very good, obviously being a properly built ff engine. However, it does need a freshen up.

The head is good, nicely ported but needs rebuilding, the valve guides are worn and probably need replacing. I haven't stripped the bottom end yet but as a minimum it will need rings, probably pistons and possibly and rebore but I haven't accurately measured it yet.

Could you recommend any companies that supply the spares?

Finally, I'm really struggling to find the latest regs for the formula ford kent engine, does anyone have a link?

Many thanks,

Dc

Thanks for the link - I have just updated www.classicformulaford.com with these - under the Technical Section.

Don't forget to check your crank for cracks especially if it's cast. They crack by the flywheel end. Mine looked like a fine crankshaft but was cracked so it had to go
