Van Diemen duratec chassis numbers

Hi,
Does anyone know how Van Diemen labeled their chassis in the Duratec era? I only ask because I was sold a 2011 chassis but after removal of the bodywork I can see on the top right of the front roll hoop area the lettering LA09 004. Before I get too upset I just wanted see if perhaps the was a reason that an '11 car was stamped 09? I somehow think i've been duped though.

youngoldy has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Sounds as though it is a genuine 09 chassis and you were sold with '11 bodywork and/or suspension kit?

I presume you have bought this chassis off Lindsay - in 2012 my son raced for Fluid and from memory the spare chassis were a coupe of years old with all the (at the time) updates on them so if it has 2011 correct spec don't worry and enjoy it!

Thanks Simon, yes that does seem to be the case. I was just surprised to see an 09 stamp on the chassis but I'm happy this car is an '11. On another note does anyone have an approximate engine length for the Duratec motor? It seems like on the VD the engine bay is very short and might not fit the Honda Fit (Jazz) engine that i'm planning on running here in then US.
