Well that's the value of the REC, right? Does LDM have any assets beyond that (all of their racing cars on finance? leased premises? leased/contra transporter? no machining facilities?)?

On the other hand WAU has many assets.

Team Kiwi did it for many years running with #021 while BJR-Ford ran #21 for Brad

Numbers starting with an "0" smacks of NASCAR....and even they have shied away from doing that in recent years

There's 26 cars in the field, surely it's easy to find a two-digit number in there, or am I missing something?

I know car numbers don't mean as much these days, but no matter if the regs allow it or not, cars running what is, in effect, the same number is ridiculous

Peter Brock ran as #05 for years

Tomas Mezera & Craig Lowndes raced as #015 at HRT

Craig Lowndes raced as #016 at HRT as well

Do any cars in other FIA International series run numbers starting with an 0?

It needs to be upgraded, or replaced.

Surely it's cheaper to just tell teams to use 2-digit numbers rather than tear down a scoring pylon?

Couldn't tell you, personally I'd barely notice the numbers on most cars to even be concerned.

If there's a commercial benefit to a team from running a "zero start" number, then all good as far as I'm concerned.

They could do that, but they have chosen not to for decades now -- who knows why!?

I still don't understand what 23Red is or means. Seriously, if you're going to pick a dumb name, at least explain it.
