View Poll Results: Where will the WEC US round 2017 be held?
Circuit of the Americas (early September? with PCW?) | 17 | 36.96%
Indy - plenty of history and, more importantly, plenty of run off | 6 | 13.04%
Montreal - close enough to the US border and would serve US N-E audience very well | 8 | 17.39%
Road America - the only right choice but lots of 'upgrading' to do to please the FIA blue blazers | 7 | 15.22%
no US (or Canadian) round at all - the WEC doesn't need a race there anyway... | 6 | 13.04%
somewhere else in North or South America (Brazil???) | 2 | 4.35%

Sebring should have been an option.

Has a date for the Le Mans/WEC/ELMS entry been revealed yet? I think its in February if I remember usually.
That is a big day for sportscar racing. I would equate that day for sportscars like the NFL draft, NBA draft, the NCAA basketball tourny selection day, the FIFA World Cup group stage draw, and the NHL trade deadline. |

Autoart 1/18 GTR-LM NISMO was delivered to Tsugio Matsuda.
Matsuda tried aero test by this model car. He says that real car also lacked DF. http://tsugio-blog.com/?eid=3111 Last edited by Japanese Samurai; 29 Dec 2016 at 08:08. |

The WEC needs to convert GTE-Am into an GT3 class like IMSA has done.

I think there is a lot of potential for GTE to be a fantastic series of races in 2017. Hopefully they will get a lot more TV time too.

I think that it might be a down year before a much bigger 2018. But still I feel like the entry list isn't completely finalized.

Feeling a touch hard done by - this is a year when it looks likely I can do most of the European WEC season and despite my preternatural optimism the grid at the sharp end looks a little bare.
I'm sure we'll all make the best of it, and I'm more than usually aware that sportscar racing is cyclical, but wish I felt as excited as I did back in say 2009 when thinking about what the lineup might look like. |

i agree the lmp1 class looks a little bare and unexciting but the lmp2 field will be much more difficult to predict and the gt classes will be varied and interesting

We must've been watching different series. I'm not sure how 2016, and especially 2015 can be described as down years.

I think the GT field will be exciting too. Can't wait to see if the Porsches can mix it up with Ford and Ferrari (not to mention Aston).

What? It's been getting better ever since 2012 when it was reborn. They started out with only Audi running 2 or 3 cars and Toyota one car in a little more than half the races to 3 manufacturer lmp1's. It's only a down year this year because Audi dropped out. But your statement seems contrary to the facts, at least on entries.
