mildred usually answers her e-mail very quickly.
I've been in contact with here twice this week.

Just a word of warning, unless you can do 2 or more days, it is unlikely you will be asked to help out. This is because the meeting is heavily over subscribed for marshals.

Mildred has asked me to let you know that she posted passes and sign on times yesterday, so they should be with you either today or Monday (Mine arrived this morning)

Received my passes today.

Question: is camping in the usual place?

Stephen: remember you said you'd have some BMMC / VIM material available for me to take to the Haynes Motor Muesum?

That sounds worrying! How comes? What is wrong with fridays?

I think I only voluntered for sat + sunday because I fully intend to spend friday on a beech somewhere...but it doesn't say on the stuff that they sent me which days i'm down for :-(

What are MSVR events like at Brands? I've only done BRSCC/BARC ones so far (so far so good :-)) but a couple of weeks ago at the BTCC meeting a few of the marshals were a bit vocal in expressing their disdain for the MSVR meetings last year! It does seem quite a busy day, but with 15-odd minute gaps between sessions.

What are the best posts to be on for the grand prix circuit? I've never been on the full one before!

Oh well...i'm excited anyway. lol.

Personally, never had a problem with MSVR meetings though, I hasten to point out that I wasn't at the WTCC or the DTM meetings last year. I believe, and no doubt I may be corrected, that there were a few problems at the WTCC event, but the weather was appauling.
Hawthorns is a great place to be, if the weather is good. Was there for the HSCC meeting last year. Watching them coming up the straight towards you is a great site. Bring plenty of sun protection though because you're pretty exposed.

No problem with Fridays except that most people still work on Friday's hence the lack of warm bodies....

edited to add that's marshalling Motorsport - most of the rest of it is spent at race tracks in one shape or form (Le Mans, Spa etc!) but those are jollies!

Mike Kelly 1 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Thankfully, my employer has a flexi time system so I have built up enough time to leave work at 1pm on the thursday in order to drive down and marshal the Friday as well. Got my stickers for the photopass yesterday and really looking forward to getting down to Brands again (after only a few weeks since my last visit- BTCC) Lets hope the weather is as good as yesterdays meeting at Oulton. Scorcheo!

Volunteered for Sat and Sun way back when the lists first came out, but now find I will be travelling back from Paris on the Friday night, not getting back home till probably about 11pm (work, not pleasure). Hope I can manage to get myself up on the Saturday morning, really don't want to miss this one!

Ok, but there's normally quite a few people walking about talking to themselves!!

I've got a silver BMW 318i touring and a little blue tent if anyone sees me out and wants to come over for a beer.

Hi,
I'm down with my brothers for Saturday and Sunday (getting down on Friday night). We have a red Astra and big green tent. Certainly up for a beer or two or three . . .
