MN report it as HMS being re named "TW Performance Group", with the documents having been signed on October 1.
Hey Moy'so (Ironside) obviously there was an embargo on you releasing this one, unlike the Courtney to SBR tale ......... |

I wonder how TWR/Arrows creditors feel about TW's recent acquisition?

Uncle Tom buys HMS off Holden outright...
In today's AA it is reported that Tom Walkinshaw has gone from consulting for HMS to being it's sole owner. Buying the race parts and technology company off Holden.
TW said that Holden were looking to sell off the business as it was not core to their operations and he put his hand up. It seems Tommy Boy is slowly rebuilding his empire , brick by brick, one business at a time. How long until 'wee Tam' makes Skaifey an offer he can't refuse for HRT? Stay tuned, I doubt it's too far off.... |

Totally off topic, here, but how can someone that's got a "permanently banned" tag on their name post here?
And yeah, interesting how TW can make business aquisitions. I thought he was bankrupt. |

Maybe they posted, and then got banned.
To help anyone with an interest in bankruptcy laws, I can recommend some books on the subject. Study up, and you might understand. |

Personally, I wish "Uncle Tom" would simply go back to where he came from and stay there.

I don't think so, Walky was a huge cheese when he owned HRT and Kmart Racing, would we see HRT and HSVDT go back on top of the game?

....there are protected assets not part of the original group that fell over... like HSV.. or the holding company anyway... that obviously provided a springboard for this acquisition. Or GMAC is offering Skaife-like rates on the loans Since Mr Walkinshaw is allegedly in charge of the former HMS group, do you think he will call in all the debts and favours given to various Holden teams over the years that were accumulated and seemingly 'washed away' within the Holden Motorsport marketing budget?? Can you hypothesise what would happen in the unlikely event that the thumbscrews were being applied to a couple of teams that may or may not utilise HMS-developed equipment & technology at less than full rent... or were indeed charged full rent... but were unable/unwilling to reach agreement about their fair share of costs... perhaps believing HMS would pay for it all... I mean, since Holden is now divorced from HMS... how precisely will Holden stop TWP from seeking restitution?? ... or not... too much Diet Coke... must get to sleep.... |
