Keys! What kind of a scouser needs keys to start a car?

Okay, what do you do if you have neither BMMC or MSA registered number?

Yay! Thanks, Stephen - and all at MSV!

Now booked at Oulton (though used my numberplate in all the excitement!).

Stig, if you/your mate are both marshals and are waiting for an MSA number, then may I suggest you give them a call to see when it will be issued?

We have to have some way of ensuring people who attend are bona fide marshals and BMMC number or MSA licence number are the only two safe ways.

I should add that the track days are really intended to thank those marshals who have helped MSV through the year, although it is not mandatory.

Afraid not (confirmation that is) as I am busy at work and haven't had the time to check yet.

No, I don't think so! I keep a BMW M5 for high days and holidays - and track days for as long as the brakes will hold out. Brakes are generally good for about three laps then you have to come in to cool them, a common fault with M5's. A friend I do track days in Europe with has just fitted a new set of Brembo type brakes; we will have to see how they perform!

My wife has just taken on a new Golf R32 but hides the keys the minute track days are mentioned!

Best wishes for another excellent series of track days for those able to attend.

I tried that, unintentionally, at Oulton once.

Unfortunately I found out that the gravel stops an M5 quite quickly, and it's much harder to extricate a 2-tonne barge than a 500kg Caterham

No Oulton for me - I'll be in Egypt checking out dead fairies and triangular pointy things. Damn, that probably means I've visited the curse of Da Mummy thing on me - Oops!

Have a great time guys - but I'll be a lot warmer than you!

Wow. Thanks to all those involved in organising this.
I'm going to check I can get the day off work and then hopefully the SX will be able to spread it's legs on track (Oulton). May even turn the boost up if I'm brave enough.
