That's great news. There is always great racing with the Monoposto championships. Looking forward to it.

Let's hope the main feature race lives up to all the support series so far.

On the subject of the 24 hours... who is Chief Marshal. Was Pieman but it isn't now. I don't know if I've volunteered or not!

P.S. Pieman if you're reading this, your PM box is full.

Seriously, I have one, and after 2 or 3 hours, your beer will be cooled down a little so it's not entirely worthless, but your best bet is to stick lots of ice/freezer packs in before you leave, or find someone with a fridge. An electric cool box will help keep food/beer cooler for longer if it's cool when you put it in there, especially useful if you're travelling for a few hours to get somewhere, but it is not a substitute for a fridge.

10 minutes will do nothing. You need 2-3 hours of it, just to cool the beer a little, and it won't get any colder. Leaving beer outside in the cold is a much better plan. I used to run mine at regular meetings for 3 or 4 hours after I got back from post, but I'd sit in the car and run the engine for at least an hour later in the evening. Also remember car batteries are damaged if you drain them and recharge them, and it'll reduce the life of your battery, so really you're best to run the engine the whole time.
Find yourself a proper compressor fridge, Engel or Waeco, do a good range, they pop up on ebay every now and again, we have one in the back of the 90 for big meetings and camping

I prefer to think of it as Britcar car supporting Monoposto, rather than the other way around

Jonny Mowlem is in there, driving a "Team Lotus" Evora GT4. Don't think i've seen a racing Evora yet. Hope the Sagaris has better luck this year and great to see stuff like an Escort Cossie entered too

The Sagaris entered this year is not the same as the one involved in the start line accident in 08. They were suffering with reliabilty at the start of the year but they have worked hard and it is starting to pay. It has been a totally private endevor that deserves a strong race.

Give or take 59 entries, how many fall by the wayside normally?

As I am on a post of rally marshals, we get first go at the Escort Cossie

You might need to run pretty quickly Ian, if you're all at Stowe and it expires at Woodcote.

Is there a list of Marshals and their postings already? Or do we need to contact the Chief to discuss that? Just wondered. If so, I can do some homework on the sector I'd be helping to cover.

I don't think so, Elliot. I'm just giving an example but I think Ian and company may well have asked to be put together.

Now I'm gutted. sounds like a great weekend of racing and Marshalling.
but now we can't go
it's all Uniparts fault for making me redundant...
well have a super weekend, be thinking of you all Saturday night when i get to bed, and there's the consolation of 750 at Oulton on the Saturday.
so i get my Marshalling fix lol

and if anyone does find out who the chief marshal is could you please let me know, i need to tell them their two marshals down. thanks
