Garry Holmes should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Saddlebags

Recently John Sadler, chief marshal for BRSCC Mids retired. As someone who started their marshalling "career" with BRSCC Mids I would publicly like to thank John for all his hard work over the years.

Me to, he's a good lad, saw him @ Mallory last Wednesday on a Test Day & said it to his face.

I would echo that Garry!

I've messed JS around quite a bit over the last couple of seasons - asking for tickets and then not being able to attend at the last moment.

Sent him an email a few weeks back wishing him well and offering my thanks for a job well done.

I,d just like to echo the above.
Some of my favourite memories are working with John on the bank or even just having a laugh with him at sign on.

After a car ended up in the lake at Mallory he found out i was a trained lifeguard and at the next meeting he told me that if " anyone goes in the lake he was going to send a course car to collect me "!!!!!!!!
Still dont know if he was serious or not but my reply to him is not printable here.
He just looked at me and said with a serious expression said " I,m not joking."

Dont be a stranger John.

I couldn't think what to say here, but I find everyone's already said it. Thanks for your work, John, you'll be missed.

John is only retiring from his position as Chief Marshal he is STILL a member of the Midland Centre of the BRSCC so his experience and know how will still be with us .
I would also like to say that he has done a fantastic job and will stay in our memories as a "bloody good chief marshal"

Bill & I would just like to say a big "thank you" to John for all the efforts he has put in over the years.

Is anyone planning to organise a collection to buy him a spellchecker or, at the very least, a dictionary plus that Lynn Truss book ("Eats Shoots and Leaves")???

Only joking, John.

Now, who am I going to have to talk to when I step out of race control to "check the weather" (ie have a smoke)??????
