With a huge split grid IIRC from last year, may be something to do with using the GP circuit me thinks.

10 weeks to go and counting. This event gets better every year.

The grid was not suposed to be split, it was just bad driving from many of the drivers, they should have been all together. We lost nearly a whole lap at the start.

There might be some more Oulton marshals interested this year. Let's hope talk transfers to action.

This is certainly an event that requires stamina and will knacker you out. BUT you will be treated very well (food, sleeping area etc) and just experiencing a 24 hour race is something else (especially watching the sun go down and/or come up - as long as its not raining).

Think about it as preparation for Le Mans - let's face it, that is one race that every marshal wants on their CV. OK its not the same, but the spirit is there.

That is normally not a problem.. I think a few marshals do that...
However it would be curtious to mention it to security on the way in ...

Regards Roy

cowchap staying the sunday night is not a problem, i have done both the 24 hours at silverstone and it's a very good meeting but it will take it out of you so driving home isn't a good idea if you gotta go any distance.

If any of you reading this thead can find time please volunteer and join us, I can assure you that you will have a fantastic time and no matter what circuit you are from you will be more than welcome, also the hot meat pies on Saturday night last year were very good (unless you're veggie, still some one post will have yours)

James T has posted a nice message on the www.eerc.co.uk website asking for Marshals.

The line "Put the word out, James will look after you" was in it.

i have my name down, i echo the comment of james looks after the marshals. well he does and doesnt, giving marshals of all peeps a free bar last year on friday is just asking for trouble.

i have to say i didnt really fancy doing a 24hr with britcar after several races at oulton but iam glad i did. one of the best race weekends i have ever done, brilliant races, crackin grids and briliantly looked after by james and the eerc crew.

Steady on, it was only one free drink - hardly a free bar!

Still, went down well. With a slice of lemon and some ice!!!
