KennyG should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
A wet Oulton Park and well done everyone

Wet would not really describe Oulton Park yesterday. With the inevitable results from an extremely wet track, the marshals, limited in numbers as they were, did a fantastic job. For those that were not there:

Nadine accused me of being an accident magent - who me?

A bit damp at Lodge

No wonder Mad Racer had a busy day

See you all next week.

Many thanks to all of you (there weren't many but every single one appreciated!!) who braved the weather / manned posts single-handedly / used radios 'cos the phone was out of order or you were flagging too! / put broom in relevant places to sweep up and generally got us to a finishing time by the skin of our teeth.

For info this had to be the least well-manned meeting so far this year in the worst weather seen for many years (unlike GT meeting a few years ago the rain just didn't seem to stop all day!!)

Thanks to one and all!

Yes thanks to all the Marshalls for braving the weather, it is much appreciated. I think it was probably more dry inside my Van Diemen than it was trackside. I had two good FF races with a 17th (should have been 15th if i had not spun at knicker brook on the last lap) and a 13th in the second monsoon race. The UCLAN boys took the car home in one piece. I call that a result. Look forward to seeing you all again at the next NW round.

Yipee, my first photo on ten tenths. Thanks Kenny.

Foreversideways: I was very impressed with the 4 wheel drifts around Druids that some of you guys were doing in the wet!

Cheers, Steve

Best move of the day HAD to be Peter Dempsey, overtaking John Hutchinson for the lead, round the OUTSIDE of the first part of Knickerbrook, on the damp line - absolutely stunning!

well if its any consolation we were extremely short handed at anglesey too!! (another fine example of too many meetings too close on the same day? although that doesnt explain sunday!) less than 2 per post on average, and where were you all sunday? you missed some brilliant racing and the icing on the cake?....... virtually no rain all weekend just nice sunshine (except for 30 min shower sat pm which left track steaming it was so warm!) wettest part was the bar!

Hmmmmm, perhaps not. I'll wait until I've signed the new modelling contract.

That should be Monday then.

Most predictable event of the day had to be David Murphy shaking off his nose cone almost at Badgeman62's feet.

Save of the day was Chris Chisnall attempting to overtake six cars going into Hizzy's chicane @ Knickerbrook and spinning big style. A text book case of waiting for your incident to finish and he was lucky he had so much grass to recover on and complete the race.

Many saves of the day Kay Bee, almost every Radical crossing the river half way up Clay Hill. Not sure if Flagging I would have got out of the way quick enough if any of them had lost it.

Sorry to say but the best move ove the day way Me and Jan getting the FF or whatever it was (lost the plot on reality) off pit straight and through the gate so the race could continue, specially as there was no-one manning pit straight
well done to all, cause this meet was especially demanding when it didn`t need to be.....
